TESL Ontario is now accepting proposals for presentations for its 54th Annual Conference, taking place November 4 to 6, 2026. Interested presenters are invited to submit their proposals by 12:00 PM ET on June 14, 2026 for the opportunity to be part of one of the most anticipated professional development events in the language education community.
This year’s conference will be delivered primarily in a virtual format, offering three full days of interactive online professional development and networking. Designed with accessibility in mind, the virtual structure allows participants from across the TESL community to engage without the need for travel, while benefiting from affordable registration rates. Complementing the online experience, TESL Ontario Connect will return on November 4, offering an in-person networking opportunity to reconnect face-to-face with colleagues and peers.
A Dynamic and Engaging Conference Experience
Guided by this year’s theme Resilient. Relevant. Ready. the conference will explore the evolving landscape of language education and the adaptability required to meet today’s challenges. The Government Funder Panel will further expand on this focus with the theme Charting a Sustainable Future for Language Education.
Attendees can look forward to a rich and engaging program featuring keynote presentations, concurrent sessions, a Research Symposium, and the Annual Panel Discussion. Additional highlights include Career Connection events, TechKnow sessions, and interactive networking opportunities designed to foster collaboration and professional growth.
Presenting at the Conference
Presenters will play a key role in shaping the conference experience by sharing innovative ideas, research, and practical strategies. Sessions will be delivered through a user-friendly and accessible virtual platform, with presentation lengths of 30, 60, or 90 minutes.
TESL Ontario is committed to supporting presenters throughout the process. New presenters will participate in a mandatory self-directed training session, along with a guided practice opportunity and optional Q&A support. All presenters will be paired with a moderator who will assist both during preparation and throughout the live session. Returning presenters are exempt from training requirements.
